Hvordan kommer man seg lettest til Fuerteventura?
I turistsesongen, oktober til april, går det jevnlig charterfly fra norske flyplasser. Apollo flyr direkte til Fuerteventura fra Oslo og direkte til Lanzarote fra Bergen . Startour og Vitaltour også direkte til Lanzarote fra Bergen hvor man kan ta rutebuss til Playa Blanca €3,80- og ta en av fergene, Fred Olsen eller Armas (ca.€22,-) direkte til Corralejo fergeturen tar ca. 25 minutter. Det er bare 5 -10 min spasertur fra fergeleiet til leiligheten. Ellers går det charterfly (Apollo, Startour og Ving) fra de fleste norske flyplasser til Las Palmas Gran Canaria, hvor man can ta lokalfly (Binter Canarias eller Canaryfly) omtrent hver time til Fuerteventura. Flyturen tar også ca. 25 minutter. Det går også ferger fra Las Palmas, Armas til Puerto del Rosario tar ca 3 timer og Fred Olsen til Morro Jable ca 2 timer. Sjekk også Norwegian Air via London, Norwegian og Vueling flyr via Barcelona men overnatting er nødvendig. Ryanair og Easy jet flyr fra London Stanstead og flere UK airports.

The ADSL is always on, the WiFi network name and password can be found under the router. The telephone line can receive incoming calls, it is however, blocked for outgoing calls, except for emergency calls to 112.
When you arrive we will have turned on the hot water heater which works on a thermostat so you will always have hot water available. The beds have fairly new, (which most guests find comfortable,) memory foam mattresses. Bedroom 1 has a UK type king size bed 150 x 200 cm. Aa cot/ crib and high chair as well as a child’s car seat can be provided upon request. Bedroom 2 has 2 x single beds. The living room has 2 lounge chairs and a 2 seater English brown leather sofa. Coffee table and side tables. One wall covered entirely with bookshelves and a china cabinet with glass doors. Round, expandable mahogany dining table with 4 chairs. A brand new, wall mounted 42 inch Philips TV, Sony DVD player and a small radio with a CD player. The TV receives local channels, about 35 + 12 radio channels in Spanish and English, like Discovery Max, Divinity, Energy, Mega, Neox and Paramount. The bathroom is fully tiled, has WC, sink, bathtub with shower, hot and cold water, hair dryer. Adjacent to the fully tiled kitchen is a small laundry room with a 7 kilo Whirlpool washing machine and retractable clothes lines. A 40 liter electric hot water heater. There is no electric clothes dryer, but clothes lines and a large size window which provides proper ventilation for clothes drying. The total living space is approx. 80m2.
The kitchen has all new kitchen cabinets, Brazilian genuine granite counter tops, a built in ceramic range/ hob with 4 rings, 60/40 fridge/freezer in stainless steel finish, built in full size st.steel front dishwasher, double stainless steel sink. Built in stainless steel fronts oven and microwave at chest/ eye height level. One extra smaller microwave in the cabinet space, 2 slice bread toaster, filter type coffee machine, electric tea/ h

This apartment is situated close to the beaches, bake shop, coffee shops, nightlife, restaurants, supermarkets and other shopping, public transport, and family-friendly activities. The town hall with a large playground for kids, Catholic church Iglesia . You’ll love the place because of the magnificent views and the proximity to all facilities. Our place is good for 1- 2 couples, business travelers, and families (with kids). We provide beach towels so you don’t have to overload your bags with these heavy items.
High chair, baby crib/ cot / child’s car seat may be provided upon request. If you rent bikes, they can be safely parked and locked inside the courtyard. The tap water is not recommended for drinking or cooking (except for boiling unpeeled vegetables like potatoes and carrots), so we always leave a sealed 8 liter container of drinking water to help you out on arrival, but we request that you replenish this with a fresh. sealed 8 liter container for the next tenant before you leave .
There is an intercom/video/ buzzer at the main entrance door, press “18” and it will connect to the apartment. (Lately there has been some electrical fault on this unit) The entrance has a small step up, but is constructed with a wheelchair ramp up to the ground floor elevator. The apartment may also be accessed by wheelchair,( no thresholds) but the bathroom is just a regular bath/ toilet with a bathtub & shower. The kitchen is not handicapped equipped either.

This is considered a very safe neighborhood. Walk to Church, Mosque, playground, supermarkets, bars, bake shop, coffee shops and restaurants. Corralejo beaches, and downtown shopping are all within walking distance. Very centrally located, yet some distance away from the noisy downtown actions.
Bus stop at the ferry dock for bus 06 going to Puerto del Rosario with stops at Acua water park and Grandes Playas. You can also connect to bus 3 to the airport (Caleta de Fueste) Taxi rank on the ferry dock (taxi cabs are usually lined up only for the ferry arrivals) as well on the main street Avenida Nuestra Senora del Carmen. Close to Super Dino and Shell gasoline station, (5 minute walk to either one) , hourly ferry departures/arrivals to/ from Playa Blanca, Lanzarote and several daily trips to Lobos Island. Car rental in the ferry terminal building (CICAR) and (Cicar and Hertz) on the main street a 10 minute walk. Inpescasa supermarket 50 meters walk. Large Hiper Dino supermarket up the street, less than a 10 min walk. Otherwise, everything else is also within walking distance! If you intend to rent a car at the airport, (Cicar and Hertz) remember you may ask to drop the car off in Corralejo at no additional charge, should you not need the car for your entire stay. Check the car rental’s min. hire periods in case you need a car to go back to the airport at the end of your stay, so you don’t end up paying higher rates for the short term rental. The fuel policies are also important to note, some car rentals like the ones we have mentioned, have normal refueling policies. “Full out, and full in”. But some like AVIS, Orlando, Gold car and the smaller ones use the sneaky “full out empty in” rule and charge you in advance at a higher than normal liter price, as well as they benefit from whatever amount of gasoline you have left in the tank upon return. I also experienced that Orlando smacked on a €270 additional deposit charge for not accepting their “in house” insurance. If you need airport pick up let us know in advance. We offer pick up and return at the end of your stay for €50,- If you drive yourself, also inquire with the host if underground dedicated parking with direct elevator access to the 1st floor, is available at only €5 per 24 hours. Nice in the summer when the heat inside the vehicle may be uncomfortable, and that the island practice of banging their doors into your car in public parking areas is a common occurence
There is a water park called Acua, (formerly Bacu water park) in Corralejo 15-20 minute walk or a short taxi ride. However, it is closed from Dec. through March. Opening dates vary depending on the air temperatures.
Free bus service to Oasis park down south in Jandia, a 1-hour bus ride. Bus picks up passengers at the ferry landing.
Return in the afternoon.
Regular city bus service to Grandes Playas (Los Hoteles) – Dunas de Corralejo – Puerto del Rosario, leaves from the ferry dock bus stop every 10 minutes before the hour from 0750 until 1950, it will be bus # 06 from Corralejo to Puerto del Rosario bus terminal where you can connect to bus #3 to the airport and Caleta de Fuste.
The entire apartment including free ADSL/ WiFi, a brand new 42 inch wall mounted television (+35 TV channels and 15 radio stations) and a DVD player. 3 electric floor type oscillating fans, hairdryer in bathroom, built in full size oven, microwave plus an additional smaller microwave, water boiler (tea kettle), coffee machine and a 2 slice bread toaster in the kitchen.

There is a garbage collection point to the left of the main entrance and across Calle Arena.
We sort: Cooking oil, plastics, glass, paper/ cartons and clothes/ fabrics etc which can be disposed of in the proper containers at any time of the day.
Household waste however, must be disposed of between the hours of 8 pm until 7 am in the summer or 7pm until 7am in the winter (due to the foul odor during the heat of the day)
Other things to consider:
Make sure to take note of the fiesta dates. Carnival last week of February and Fiestas Nuestra Senora del Carmen (1-18 July). For those who appreciate peace and quiet it can get noisy during the fiesta celebrations by the sports complex across the street. But it’s the same all over town, and it’s an annual island tradition we cannot do anything about.
The area is considered a very safe neighborhood centrally located, yet some distance away from the noisy downtown areas. Walk to everything. For those with children there is a children’s play park close by, a Catholic Church on the next block behind the sports complex, and a Mosque a few hundred meters away. 3 supermarkets close by, nearest “Inpescasa” a few steps along Calle Arena, also Hiper Dino and Euro Spar a short distance away.
There are frequent bus-, ferry- and taxi services within a short walking distance. Also, for those tenants who come by car, there are ample parking spaces in the streets adjacent to and in front of the building. Also a huge parking area in front of the sports complex across the street. Should you want to rent a space in our gated parking garage, you may book that direct with the owner at €5 per day subject to availability. May be cheaper than having the rental company charge for scratches and small dents incurred while parked on the streets, as well as not having to enter a “baking oven” during the hot summer months.
